The correct value for the standard is 35 ppb. It is not a drinking water standard but a ground water cleanuo standard for a toxic waste site.

At present Michigan does not have a drinking water standard. The US EPA has also not yet promulgated a federal drinking water standard. There is an EPA MCL for several EPA regions. This standard is 6,1 ppb.

Thanks for the identifying the error and bringing it to our attention. The language has been updated and hopefully is more clear and accurate. I will be adding information soon abou the EPA public comment period for the IRIS reassessment of 1,4-dioxane. http://cfpub.epa.gov/ncea/cfm/iris/recordisplay.cfm?deid=199330 Do you find this valuable?
